Dear beloved readers!
First things first: I wanted to apologize for the lack of new material in the last few months.
Since creating this website in January 2011, exactly two years ago, a lot, happened, I mean, things just fell into place and some opportunities better than what I had EVER expected or wished for came to me. Lots of changes in my personal life as well, to say the least, and I honestly haven’t had a single second to stop and smell the new perfumes at Holt’s roses until very recently.
This website led to PatWhite.com, which had a ripple effect on my professional life: I had the occasion to cover the fashion & beauty industry, attends events, interview DJs, actors, etc. It also led to a few photo shoots, attending televised galas, and so on. Fun. Then I started writing for the Huffington Post about fashion at first, then men, then men-women relationships, beauty, etiquette, design, ecetera.
One article I wrote about men was picked up by a radio station. Then the article was translated to English and nationally published in the Huffington Post Canada. I swear, if I died tomorrow, it’d be with a large smile on my face. I’m still overwhelmed about it and oh so grateful.
I was invited a few times over to a radio station to babble about men, I do some personal styling, I have a full time job apart from everything I just mentioned. I’m also a sales rep for a Canadian product; all this to say, my downtime is pretty friggin’ scarce which brings me to this: I’m thinking of shutting down this website.
I’ve been using Twitter (https://twitter.com/zefashionblog) as my fave social media to vent off and rant about North Korea, vintage photography, provocative art, all this using double negatives and improper sarcasm.
And recently, my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/VigilantFashionista.Fashion.Blog.Personal.Stylist
I’m seriously considering shutting down this website and only using my Facebook page.
What do you guys think? Good move, bad move?
